All-Church Picnic

Fall All-Church Picnic

Every year on the Sunday after Labor Day, we have a picnic after church to kick off the new school year. There's a barbecue, bingo, a bounce house, cotton candy, games for the children, and more. It's a lot of fun!

Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk-or-Treat at Halloween

On the Sunday immediately before Halloween, members of the congregation can park their cars in the back parking lot and decorate them with Halloween decorations. Then, after church, the children go from car to car "trunk-or-treating." It's great fun for young and old alike!

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley

We are very involved with Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley, an organization dedicated to rehabilitating the homes of low income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may live in warmth, safety and independence.

Softball

Softball

Our church co-ed softball team plays nearly every Friday in the spring and summer.

Blessing of the Animals

Blessing of the Animals

We hold our worship service in Fellowship Hall once a year to accommodate all the dogs, cats, birds, rats, stuffed animals, etc., that our congregation brings to be blessed.

Talent/No Talent Show

Talent/No Talent Show

Every year on Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras), we put on a Talent/No Talent Show in which everyone can participate, whether they have any talent or not! There is always lots of dessert following the show.

Adult Education Forums

We present several adult education forums throughout the year on various topics. We also occasionally have speakers come to the church, such as Bart Ehrman and Bishop John Shelby Spong, and discuss their books over the weeks before and after their visits.

Pick-a-Party

Each year members of our congregation host parties or events to raise funds for our youth's mission trips.

Blood pressure readings

Our faith community nurse, Jamie Schweizer, provides blood pressure readings after church the fourth Sunday of every month.

Happy Hollow

Our Sunday school children meet at Happy Hollow Park and Zoo the first Sunday in July to pet the animals, go on rides, and have a picnic lunch while hearing a children's sermon on the grass outside the Crooked House.
