Sermon Feedback Series
Did you ever hear a sermon and want to follow up with a question,
or a thought, or a new direction you would like to further
explore? Beginning July 11 we will offer a series of adult forums
titled "Sermon Feedback." We’ll meet in the Friendship Room at
11:30 with the preacher for the morning. We'll listen to your
responses and questions and, if you wish, address our process of
composing a sermon. The series will conclude on August 8.
Cities for All Ages: Land Use Planning and Our Aging Population
Monday, July 26, 6:30–8:30 pm in Fellowship Hall
Santa Clara County is about to be hit by a "senior tsunami." In less than 20 years, a quarter of
our county's adult population will be over 65, as the Baby Boom generation ages. Many will
be non-drivers, living in cities that were mostly designed around the automobile. What can we
do to adapt our cities to assure that our growing senior population—and others in our
community—can live active, interesting, and productive lives, without having to drive or own a
car? Come hear Don Weden, Retired Principal Planner
for Santa Clara County, discuss this issue that impacts us all.
The Sierra Club is co-sponsoring this event with our Adult Learning Committee and will
provide refreshments. RSVP to lomaprieta.sierraclub.org/bcfc.asp or contact Megan Fluke at
(650)390-9604.
